  1. Navigation

    • Access the statistics page by selecting “Anycast CDN” from the left-hand menu.
    • Ensure you’re in the “CDN Dashboard” to view all available Anycast CDN statistics.
  2. Statistics Filters

    • Use the CDN Resource Name dropdown to filter by specific CDN resources.
    • Filter statistics by Regions to analyze performance geographically.
    • Customize the Statistics Period to view data from specific dates. Use the UTC toggle for time zone precision.
  3. Data Views The dashboard offers multiple data views for better insights:

    • Bandwidth: Tracks average bandwidth usage and peak performance (95th percentile).
    • Cache: Monitors the efficiency of cached content.
    • Cache Status Requests: Provides details on cache hits/misses and their ratios.
    • Status Codes: Displays HTTP status codes for traffic analysis.
  4. Exporting Data

    • Click on the “Export Data” button to download usage statistics in a CSV or similar format for offline analysis.

Understanding the Widgets

The statistics widgets provide a snapshot of key metrics:

  1. Cache Hits:

    • Total cache hits versus non-cache hits.
    • A high cache hit rate indicates optimal caching performance.
  2. Traffic Breakdown:

    • Plain Traffic: Non-secure traffic (HTTP).
    • HTTPS Traffic: Secure traffic using SSL/TLS.
    • Helps evaluate the proportion of secure vs. non-secure requests.
  3. Usage Summary:

    • View Traffic Usage and Cache Usage for the selected period.
    • Overages are marked in red for easy identification.

Graph Insights

The interactive graph plots:

  • Average Bandwidth in kbps over time.
  • The 95th Percentile, which is a key billing metric in CDN services.
  • Use the Reset Zoom feature to focus on specific peaks or periods.

Troubleshooting Tips

  1. Cache Efficiency:

    • Review Cache Status Requests to identify low cache hit rates.
    • Adjust caching rules or analyze frequently missed resources for optimization.
  2. Traffic Spikes:

    • Use the Bandwidth graph to spot unusual spikes in traffic.
    • Investigate high HTTP status codes (e.g., 5xx errors) under the Status Codes view.
  3. Overage Alerts:

    • Monitor the Usage Summary for overage warnings.
    • Adjust your CDN plan or resource allocation accordingly.
