BlazingCDN is a content delivery network (CDN) designed to accelerate the delivery of online content, including video streaming. This guide will walk you through setting up live streaming with Anycast CDN.
Step 1: Sign Up for a BlazingCDN Account
The first step is to sign up for a BlazingCDN account. Visit the BlazingCDN website and create an account. Once registered, configure your CDN zone settings and specify your streaming playlist URL (HLS or M3U8) as the origin.
Step 2: Create a CDN Resource
To stream video content via BlazingCDN, create a CDN Resource, which allows content retrieval from your origin server. Follow these steps:
Log in to the BlazingCDN dashboard.
Navigate to Anycast CDN.
Click Create New CDN Resource.
Configure the CDN zone by entering the necessary details in the next step.

Step 3: Connect Your Video Content
Once the CDN Resource (zone) is created, connect your video content:
-
Provide the media server URL (HLS or M3U8) to BlazingCDN.
https://yourmediaserverlink.com or media server IP (0.0.0.0) -
BlazingCDN will automatically pull the video content from the origin server (media server) and distribute it through the network.

Step 4: Configure Caching Settings
For stable stream transmission through the CDN, disable CDN caching:
Enable Override by Response Header in the Manage Cache settings.

Ensure that Origin Shield is turned off, in the Preferences settings.
If caching issues arise, contact BlazingCDN support to adjust configurations.

Step 5: Use a Custom Domain (Optional)
While BlazingCDN provides a system domain, using a custom domain is recommended for branding purposes. You can set up a custom domain in the CDN settings.

Step 6: Embed the Video on Your Website
To display your video content:
Choose an HTML5 video player that supports HLS or M3U8 (e.g., Video.js, JW Player).
Use the CDN-provided streaming System Domain URL as the video source.
Example of a system domain for streaming:
https://yourstreamingzone.blazingcdn.net/live.m3u8
Embed the player on your website.

Step 7: Monitor and Optimize Your Stream
Regularly monitor your live stream for performance and quality:
Access the BlazingCDN dashboard to track stream health.
Use analytics tools to analyze buffering, latency, and viewer engagement.
Contact support if specific adjustments are needed for caching or playback issues.
